My Man’s Homemade Bone Broth Recipe
My Man’s Recipe
Creating food is my therapy. I find making food to be an enjoyable experience.
Homemade bone broth soup is one of the most nourishing foods for our body; whether we are sick, it is winter, or we are healing our gut.
beef bones organic 3-4 pounds
ossobuco meat 2 pounds
onion chopped in quarters 3
head of garlic peeled 1. 5
carrot 1 pound
water – 2 gallons
Boil the meat and bones for ten minutes in a pot of water, then wash them in cold water.
Dump the water and clean the pot with soap. (There will be a green slimy film to wash out).
Refill the pot with 2 gallon of water and start boiling while the veggies and meat are in the oven.
Put all the veggies, meat, and spices together in the oven for 30 min to brown them and enhance the taste at 200 Celsius or 400 Fahrenheit .
Take out of oven.
Put all the browned veggies and meat in the pot of boiling water and bring it to simmering for 8 to 14 hours.
Turn off the stove and let it cool.
Eat and enjoy.
Store it in the fridge or freezer.
Give it as a present.
